Why Hindi?
Language being a “Gateway to the Culture”, proficiency (speak, read, write) in at least one of the Indian languages will enable them understand our culture, practices, and its rich philosophical basis better. This will increase their confidence in communicating with grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts & improve bonding with the extended family. Parents will see benefit of Bala Vihar education when children enter into the High school and College.
Where & When
Classes are on sundays from 9:00 am to 9:55 am at Reedy Creek Middle School.
Classes & Curriculum
The class assignment will be flexible depending on the learning needs of the child. Classes are filled with fun with lots of stories, conversations, and some screenings of kids’ TV shows.
Level I – Grades – Pre-K, K, 1st
Introduction to Devanagari Script, Vowels and Consonants. Learn 2, 3, 4 letter words without matras, basic reading and writing, numbers, vocabulary (fruits, vegetables, animals, colors, etc), songs, and poems.
Level II – Grades – 2 & up
Lessons with matras and complex words. Increase vocabulary, reading and writing. Learn basic expressions and sentences in Hindi, as well as stories, songs and poems.
