Chinmaya Community has adopted NC 54 (strech of Chapel Hill Road) and does routine cleanup. All community members are welcome to join and volunteer to keep NC beautiful.
Event Details
- Frequency: 4 times a year
- Where: We meet at parking lot of Aldi Lion – intersection of Harrison and Maynard (2303 NW Maynard, Cary, NC 27513)
- Time: 9:45 AM
- Who can join: 6th grade and above. Parents are welcome to stay.
- Parents with younger kids can drop off older kids at the cleanup (by 9:45 AM) before heading to Reedy Creek for Bala Vihar.
- Pickup between 11:30 and 11:45 after Bala Vihar Class
- We will have liability waivers ready for parents to sign.
- For anyone who needs service hours, we will gladly sign your forms!
- Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
- We will provide safety gloves and vests and the bags required for the pickup.
- Please take a few minutes to watch this safety video before the morning of the cleanup
- Breakfast: Light breakfast like breakfast bars before we head out will be provided
